I have been doing some learning–I can’t explain myself yet, but I’m starting to grasp some loose concepts:
- Since I am under a lot of light pollution, I think shorter exposure times (and more of them) should be helpful
- My camera has big pixels (and a lot of them!), which means I’m “undersampled”, which means I should try “drizzling”
- My tracking mount, being of the strain wave persuasion, likes “high frequency guiding” (in this case, I lowered my guide camera exposure to 1s)
Once I actually figure out what all this means and how it works, I’ll be back to explain it. Meanwhile, I think it’s successful–I’m really proud of this picture!
